The LMX Series delivers low-distortion, high-fidelity waveforms through precision linear amplification, ensuring accurate reproduction with wide small-signal bandwidth. Models operate from 15 to 5,000Hz, provide up to 600Vrms L-N, and cover power levels from 500VA to 30kVA. Available in 1- and 3-phase configurations, with parallelable models from 8 to 30kVA.

Linear AC Power Source Allows for High Crest Factor, Low Distortion & High Fidelity Output Waveforms

The linear amplifiers within the LMX Series power sources are unmatched in their ability to produce the high crest factor, low-distortion, high fidelity output waveforms required by the most demanding AC Test Power applications.

Stand-alone models range from 500VA to 6kVA. Larger chassis may be paralleled to create systems that range from 8kVA to 30kVA. Offering both single and three phase models, units are conservatively designed with output power ratings based on the most severe combination of input line, output voltage, power factor, and temperature.

The exceptionally broad bandwidth (50kHz small signal), combined with low output impedance and high crest factor ratings give the LMX Series the ability to produce high quality, low distortion output power into the most dynamic loads.

Wide Selection of Voltage Ranges (T Option)

LMX Series supports up to 135VLN/270VLL (single-phase) or 135VLN/234VLL (three-phase). Transformer Option The T-Option provides transformer-coupled outputs at 1.5:1, 2.0:1, or 2.5:1 ratios, reaching 600V (single-phase) or 585V (three-phase).

Generate Advanced Waveforms and Transients

Voltage, Waveform and Frequency output transients are easily created from the front panel using an intuitive spreadsheet style data entry method. Data may be entered for a specific phase or for all three phases at the same time. The LMX Series supports LIST, PULSE and STEP Mode Transient Types. In addition to sine wave, the LMX Series offers multiple selectable AC waveforms such as clipped sine wave at various distortion levels, square, triangle and stepped squares.

  • All single phase output units are operable with dual voltage ranges as listed. Three phase units are operable as single phase with dual voltage range capability or as three phase. Output voltage ranges and 1ø/3ø conversions are selected by front panel or bus commands.
  • Output voltage ranges listed are for standard units. VMAX is output voltage with nominal input and full rated load applied. Other voltage ranges are available with the output magnetics options.
  • Peak Repetitive Pulse Current.
  • Single phase input: 100, 110, 120, 208, 220 and 240 VAC ±10%. Three phase input: 208,220,240,380,416 and 480 VAC ±10%. (480 V input and 400 Hz input are each available as a cost option.)
