The AZX Series is a regenerative 4-quadrant AC and DC power source that functions as an AC voltage source, DC power supply, current source, AC/DC load, and PHIL interface in a single unit. Dual Constant Power Voltage Range

The AZX series supports both low and high voltage ranges for AC or DC. Test accurately with seamless transition of voltage ranges. The constant power voltage range for both higher current at lower voltage and higher voltages at lower currents eliminates the need to switch between voltage ranges. This prevents potential disruptions in output power.

Power Hardware in the Loop with High Speed Analog I/O

For real-time Power Hardware in the Loop (HIL) simulation applications, the AZX offers a high speed set of analog inputs and outputs with fast output response. This analog interface provides high speed input for controlling frequency, voltage or current and waveshape. Voltage and Current output capture signals are returned to the Real Time Simulation System.

Simultaneous AC and DC operation of modes per phase(or channel), and the automatic switching of output modes provides test engineers with a unique capability and the highest degree of flexibility. AC, DC, AC+DC, DC+AC output configurations are available in single, split, three phase and multi-channels with optional isolated neutrals in AC and DC.

High-Precision Three-Phase AC Power Solution 
to 1.1MW

For applications requiring more than 550kW of three phase power, a dedicated Three-Phase Programmable AC Power Source Cabinet System is available that controls three high power AZX single phase power multi-cabinet AZX clusters to create a system configuration exceeding 1MW of programmable power. This state-of-the-art power cabinet solution is designed for high power applications requiring precise and independent control of each AC phase. This system consists of three multi-cabinet AZX clusters and one Controller Cabinet that routes power from all other cabinets to a point of common connection for the end-user’s three phase load. Each phase cluster is dedicated to delivering one phase of the three-phase output, all seamlessly synchronized and controlled by a centralized three-phase controller unit in the Controller Cabinet.

  • Modular Cabinet Design – Each phase is powered by an independent cluster consisting of four to seven paralleled AZX cabinets, ensuring flexibility, scalability, and ease of maintenance.
